Australia’s most renowned B2B construction trade show will take place 19-20 March at the Sydney International Convention Centre, with free registration for over 25,000 attendees. The expo is part of the Oliver Kinross award-winning ‘BUILD’ portfolio that includes shows in New York, Chicago, and London.

Sydney Build 2020 will feature 350-plus exhibitors and 300-plus speakers over two days, highlighting the latest innovations across Australia’s construction, architecture, and infrastructure industries. The CIVENEX infrastructure exhibition and Sydney Transport & Roads Expo will take place at the venue concurrently.

Such key figures in Sydney’s development as Deputy Lord Mayor Linda Scott and New South Wales Minister for Industrial Relations and Treasurer Dominic Perrottet are slated to speak, as are industry leaders Cesare Caoduro of AECOM, Architectus principal Rodd Perey, Downer Construction director Mac Harvey, Aurecon director Rowena Walk, and Laing O’Rourke technical director Andrew Harris.

Networking Lounge

The first of its kind networking experience will enable attendees and exhibitors to meet face-to-face in a casual ‘disconnected’ environment, whilst simultaneously establishing connections and sharing contact info with one another over their online LinkedIn networks.

Equipped with a unique QR code linking each user to their virtual profile, attendees with a smart device at the LinkedIn networking lounge will be granted access to insight, content, and networking opportunities year-round as part of a new community that features a wide range of meetups and social events.

The lounge will have complimentary refreshments, entertainment, and a Humans of Construction display which will broadcast images of over 1000 influential industry figures along with live profiles of those attending the Sydney Build.

Australian Construction Awards

The 2020 Australian Construction Awards will take place on the first night of Sydney Build at the Sydney Cricket Grounds. The awards recognize the achievements, developments, and innovation within Australia’s booming construction industry and will feature a wide range of categories for solution providers, contractors, architects, developers, and local authorities. Categories are free to enter and are judged by a panel of leading industry experts from across Australia.
